If you remember the primary reason a Save-the-Date card is needed is to give those people you want to invite to your matrimony an early announcement of your plans so they can have as much time as achievable to make arrangements to attend. It is a proper way for you to announce your engagement and establish your time frame.

If after meeting those primary reasons you still have room on the card for more information and you want to put more, then you might add:

1. An RSVP request with phone number or email.
2. A web site URL with more details about your wedding.
3. Some poetry sentiment that you like.
4. Let them know another formal invitation will be coming.

You cannot fit answers to all these questions on a save the date postcard, but thinking about these questions might stir up some ideas on what you want on your cards and make it all more fun.
