Smiling Faces Seem to Say it All

Thursday, October 29th, 2009

All it takes to have a nice Save the Date card is a good photo showing your smiling faces.

Here is another Save the Date photo postcard where the photo expresses the joy through smiling faces and the back of the card gives the details about the plans they are smiling about.

One of the things to look at on the photo you chose is whether your faces are too close to the edge of the photo.   If an important part of the photo is too close to a photo edge, it can be cropped a little when processing your cards.   When we have this type of concern, we usually put the photo in a frame to keep the important parts away from the card edge.

We take care of these types of issues for you and make it easy to make a custom Save the Date postcard, just check out the above tab labeled “Begin Design”.

Use Helpful Map for Save the Date

Wednesday, October 7th, 2009

Sometimes your wedding or other event plans are in a location that might be well known for you but not to those you want to invite.  A map might be quite helpful for those you send your Save the Date to so they can understand well where your event is at.

Helping invitees understand your plan well is a basic reason for sending Save-the-Date postcards.

Here is an example of a Save the Date postcard using a map that we have printed:

and, … many additional event details are given on the backside:

Consider whether a map might be helpful for your Save the Date postcards.

Black and White photo

Thursday, September 24th, 2009

Many folks like the feeling offered by a good black and white photo for their card.  I think a black and white photo offers a feel of  age.  It this way this feeling of long lasting age supports the feeling of a long lasting tradition in love and marriage.

A happy B&W photo used for the front of their Save the Date postcard:

and, … the plans of their event are given on the back of their Save the Date postcard:

Consider the mood of using a B&W photo on your Save the Date.

Save the Date while Water Skiing ?

Friday, July 24th, 2009

Another very creative photo for a wedding save the date card.  This couple obviously likes to water ski.  So they make a save the date sign which they hold while doing what they like.  A photographer takes the picture and they have a great photo to use for their card.

postcard front design:

postcard back design:

This is a neat idea.  Think about what you like to do as a couple, water ski, scuba dive, snow ski, hiking, etc, etc and have a photo taken while holding a save the date sign.

Another great photo took some creative thinking and some work to create. We again salute the creativity and hope other couples will enjoy our sharing it here.  Spark up your creative juices to create a your unique custom Save the Date postcard.

When you are ready use our “Begin Design” form and we will create your Save the Date postcard.
