We’re Engaged – Save the Date

Friday, February 10th, 2012

On this save the date postcard the couple used the title: “We’re Engaged”.

This seemed to be a nice simple title that grabbed attention and immediately gave the key information on what the postcard was about.  Announcing the engagement sets the wheels in motion as to everyone wanting to know when is the wedding planned.

Then the back of the postcard gives the details about the when and where of the special event.  This gets back to the purpose of a save the date card:

  • announcement of the event
  • details on the who, when and where of the event
  • enough information for the person reading to make plans to attend

We live in a very busy world and folks really appreciate having time to make plans to participate in attending a wedding.  So it is a courtesy to send out save the date cards with enough advance time for folks to easily make their plans.

Here is this example card:   (front side with photo, back with information)

Save the Date while Water Skiing ?

Friday, July 24th, 2009

Another very creative photo for a wedding save the date card.  This couple obviously likes to water ski.  So they make a save the date sign which they hold while doing what they like.  A photographer takes the picture and they have a great photo to use for their card.

postcard front design:

This is a neat idea.  Think about what you like to do as a couple, water ski, scuba dive, snow ski, hiking, etc, etc and have a photo taken while holding a save the date sign.

Another great photo took some creative thinking and some work to create. We again salute the creativity and hope other couples will enjoy our sharing it here.  Spark up your creative juices to create a your unique custom Save the Date postcard.
